Third Euro-Asian International Short Course on Medium Density Fiberboard
The third edition of the Euro-Asian Short Course on Wood Based Composites will be held in Thailand, at Walailak University, School of Engineering and Technology in Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The speakers are European specialists from wood science and wood based panels industry. The scientific director is Professor Dr. Marius C. Barbu, who also coordinated the previous two editions: 2014 at Karadeniz University in Trabzon, 2019 at the Mongolian University for Science and Technology in Ulan Bator.
By attending this course, the participants will have the opportunity to join for a new training challenge focusing the production technology of Medium Density Fibreboards.
Professionals, new comers in the wood-based panels pro-cessing as well as academic staff are expected to join this MDF training.
This training course, focused on Medium Density Fibreboard, will be held at the campus of Walailak University in Thasala located very close to Nakhon Si Thammarat. It is a joint force between the School of Engineering and Technology and European partners from Forest Products Technology and Timber Construction Department at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Austria and Faculty of Wood Engineering, Transil-vania University of Brasov, Romania.
The School of Engineering and Technology of Walailak University organized already at the same site two successfully editions of the International Trainings Course on Wood-Based Panels, in 2009 and 2011. The scientific director was Prof. Marius C. Barbu and the manager was Assoc. Prof. Nirundorn Matan.
This four-days course program provides the comprehensive knowledge of Medium Density Fiberboard manufactured in dry process. Production technology, parameters, properties and uses will be on detail discussed and analysed.
A specific aim rests on the technology and innovation of MDF manufacturing process. Additional issues are international markets for MDF, raw material, production costs, process control, low emission, environmental impact and recently innovations. Invited speakers form industry will provide you the latest technically developments.
Within this course, all participants will grain knowledge and skills to drive and develop the process, to utilize effectively the latest in technological innovations to assure quality in manufacturing MDF.
